FRIDAY, 18 JULY 2014 : AIRPORT – HOTEL
Upon arrival at Kualanamu airport pick up by our tour guide. than proceed to Medan for hotel check-in.

The Home of Sumatran’s Elephant

Tangkahan is the only place in Indonesia where you can venture into the jungle on the back of your own elephant, exploring the rainforest parts of Gunung Leuser Park. This is the place to come if you want a truly exclusive and unique experience combining rainforest exploration; majestic trees, thick lush tropical vegetation interspersed with beautiful rivers, waterfalls, caves and hot springs, and above all is riding elephants.

SATURDAY, 19 JULY 2014: MEDAN-TANGKAHAN (B)
After breakfast and check-out hotel, proceedfor Medan city tour, visiting sultan palace,great mosque and Old chinese temple. Thereafter drive to Tangkahan about 4 hours, and stop will be made at several plantation for rubber and palm oil. Arrived in Tangkahan crossing the river by canoe is to reach your accommodation. Late afternoon check in to the lodge.

SUNDAY, 20 JULY 2014: TANGKAHAN ELEPHANT TREKKING (B)
Breakfast will serve at the lodge. Morning, you will go for Elephant trekking explore part of the Leuser National Park about 2 hours. Afternoon will be free at your own leisure. You can walk a long the bank of the Buluh river, is to see thousand beautiful butterflies by the river, visiting and bathing at the small waterfall in the rainforest close to the river and or swimming in Buluh river itself.

Remarks:
Elephant ride is not available on Monday and Thursday
Accommodations in Tangkahan are basic, built with simple materials to keep in harmony with nature. Electricity run by own generator and not available after 21:00 pm. Room is equipped with mosquito net and has own bathroom which comes with shower with cold water (no hot water).

The Home of Jungle Man

The Leuser National Park in North Sumatra, is one of the last places you can experience the rainforest at its best. It is also one of the largest national parks in the world containing over 800,000 ha of virgin rainforest. The home where is the closest primate to humanoid so called Orang Utan while being trained and prepared for release back into their natural habitat.

MONDAY, 21 JULY 2014: TANGKAHAN – BUKIT LAWANG (B).
Breakfast will be served at the hotel. After check-out proceed the journey to Bukit Lawang. On the way, you will drive over plantation and rural areas, a bit bumpy but great fun. Arrive in Bukit Lawang check in to hotel for overnight.

TUESDAY, 22 JULY 2014:BUKITLAWANG TREKKING (B)
Morning, visit the feeding platform to see the Orang Utan while being fed and prepared for release back into their natural habitat. You trek deeper to explore the park. Steep, slopes and dense vegetation will bring you the excitement of the rainforest.

OPTIONAL:

You can trek about 2-3 hours deeper in the park to explore more tropical flora and fauna. Steep, slopes and dense vegetation will bring you the excitement of the jungle.
OR go inner tubing down the river.

Remarks:
Who are bringing camera/video in the Orangutan site will be charged additional Rp 50,000 for camera and Rp150, 000 for video.

WEDNESDAY, 23 JULY 2014: BUKITLAWANG – MEDAN – BERASTAGI (B)
After breakfast and check-out, you leave Bukit Lawang to the cool and pleasant highland town of Berastagi. On the way stop at Crocodile farm, on arrival in Berastagi visit local fruit market before check-in hotel.

THURSDAY, 24 JULY 2014: BERASTAGI – SAMOSIR ISLAND (B)
After breakfast and check-out you will have a chance to see a beautiful mountain view from the Gundaling hill. Therafter proceed the journey to Samosir Island. Stop will be made at Dokan village, a traditional Karo Bataks village, Sipiso-piso waterfall, Long house of Simalungun Bataks. Arrive in Parapat, transfer to the harbour for the cruise to Samosir Island. Check in to the hotel.

FRIDAY, 25 JULY 2014: FULLDAY SAMOSIR ISLAND (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed the journey visiting the Tomok village to see the old tomb of King’s Sidabutar, Ambarita village to see the stone chairs, tables and court yard of Siallagan’s clan and visit Simanindo to enjoy the Bataks traditional ritual dances of the Bataks Tribe. Return to the hotel. Thereafter, continue to discover the Tuk-Tuk village by bicycle and enjoy a warm interaction with the local people during your ride.

SATURDAY, 26 JULY 2014: Samosir – Parapat – Medan/Airport (B)
After breakfast at hotel, crossing back the Lake Toba to Parapat and return to Medan. The trip will take about 5 hours drive passing through Pematang Siantar town, on the way stop for oil palm, cacao and rubber plantation. Arrive in Medan transfer to the Airport for flight to your next Destination. END of SERVICES.
